Mac vs PC

Probably one of the oldest arguments. Mac vs PC.

Let’s start with Mac.

MacMac
Created by Steve Jobs
Macs (Macitonish) is one of the most highly advanced computers. With a higher graphics card then PC, faster, and the best for school/business.
Supposedly, Bill Gates stole computer programming from Steve. Though I don’t have any proof about that.
PCWindows PC
Created by Bill Gates, or well, Dell.
PC (Windows) used to be one of the worst computers. Now, with Windows 7, it’s an excellent gaming computer. It’s rated #1 in Popular Mechanics for gaming, and I use my Laptop for gaming.

Verdict: Depending what you want, if you are a graphics designer, you need a Mac, but if your into gaming, go for a Windows.

Well, my job is done.

Windows Phones vs iPhone

Hey guys, it’s Wyoskyguy. This is my second comparison, if you haven’t read my first one, click here. Well, here I go.

Windows PhoneWindows Phone The Windows Phone (created by PC/Dell) was created to put a competitive edge to Apple’s iPhone. Windows Phone (I’m gonna call it WP7) has a  GB hardrive. Let’s get on with it and here’s the geek info.
We will compare the CE5 kernel (used on WM6.X platforms) to the CE7 kernel which will be used on the new WP7 devices. Both kernels are 32 bit, and both use a 4GB Virtual Address Space, which is split into 2GB reserved for the kernel and 2GB for user space. The CE5 kernel handles the 2GB of User Space differently from the way CE7 does. The 2GB space is split into 2 parts:
User Space.
Memory mapped files, Modules, etc.
The User Space is where it’s going to differ. In CE5, it’s divided into 32 slots of each 32MB (together 1024MB). A process, such as a program, is loaded into a slot when it’s running in background. During execution, so when the application is running, it’s swapped into Slot 0. This means that every program can only use 32 of Virtual Memory (VM). CE7 however will handle that differently. The User Space in CE7 will not be divided any further, you get 1GB of VM. The huge advantage of this is that an application can use the full 1GB of VM to run.
This means that CE7, and thus Windows Phone 7, should allow much more rich programs to be developed. Requirement for this however is Microsoft’s allowance to us to write Native Code. Other inter-process memory sharing, needed for Multitasking, will be done in the other 1GB of user space.
(Help from XDA Developers)
Prices: $80 for a 2 year warranty, $500 without one.

Now for the iPhone. (It seems like Apple really doesn’t want people like me posting info about it ^.^)

iPhone 4 iPhone 4
Features

9.3mm thick, that is 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS
2-Mic, microSIM
Front facing camera, LED flash
Brand new display called Retina Display. Four times crisper than iPhone 3GS
Bigger battery, A4 Management amount to 7 hours 3G talk, 6 hours 3G browsing, 10 hours WiFi browsing, 10 hours videos, 40 hours of music, and 300 hours of standby
There are two models – 16 GB ($199) and 32 GB ($299)

Well, that’s it, I’d say the iPhone 4 is a lot better. The only thing is that WP7 can connect to your Xbox account. Other than that, the iPhone 4 is a LOT better. Well, I think I’m done.

iPad 2 vs Kindle Fire

Hey guys, it’s Wyoskyguy. I just wanna say a few things, my birthday is coming up, and my mom told me about a Kindle Fire by Amazon. I asked, “What is it?” and she said some stuff. So I decided to do some research and compare the two.

Now for the iPad 2. (Surprising, this took quite a while to gather the info for, and some is from previous knowledge)

iPad 2
iPad2
Display: This I don’t know, I know it’s 0.34 cm thick (or something around that), multi-touch
Size: 0.34 cm/in (Can’t remember which)
Weight: 1.34 (I believe)
System Requirements: Doesn’t require computer

Online Storage: iCloud from Mac
Battery Life: 10 hours
Charge Time: 4 hours (?)
Wi-Fi and 3G from AT&T and Verizon Wireless and anywhere you can plug a laptop into.
USB: 2.0 with the clip thing to connect to the Apple Product
Audio: I don’t know this, I searched half-a-dozen websites, couldn’t find a thing.
Content Formats Supported: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, iTunes format, and probably some others.
Price: $499

Alright, Now I’m gonna to compare.
Kindle Fire vs iPad 2
Display: iPad 2
Size: Kindle Fire
Device Storage: iPad 2
Battery Life: iPad 2
Charge Time: Tie
Wi-Fi/3G: iPad 2
USB: Tie
Audio: Kindle Fire (I couldn’t find iPad’s)
Content Formats Supported: Kindle Fire
Price: Kindle Fire at $199 (Less then HALF of what the iPad 2 is)
That puts the score iPad 2 (4) – Kindle Fire (3) (Not including ties)

My conclusion: If you are going to be doing a lot downloading (games, music, books, movies), I would go for an iPad 2. If your one of those guys/girls who just like to download some games, play them, post on blogs, etc. I would go for either one. Because really, either way, they do the same thing, but if your cheap, definitely go for the Kindle Fire, it’s less then half of what the iPad 2 is going for.

Well, I think that concludes my post. I hope I get to do this again, because it’s quite fun. Maybe next time I’ll do the newest Xbox and the PlayStation 3.

Psalm 46

Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the LORD has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[d] with fire.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
